Any time we get a new track from the late great J Dilla, it’s a good day. That day came yesterday, when the song “Filth” was released.

Amazingly enough, there are still unreleased J Dilla tracks floating around out there. A whole pile of the late production legend’s unheard material will appear on the forthcoming box set The King Of Beats, which Dilla’s mother assembled. The set spreads 40 unreleased tracks across four 10″ vinyl records, one 3″ floppy disc, and one cassette. One of those tracks is “Filth” a quick minute-and-a-half freestyle over a relatively straight-ahead boom-bap beat. It’s clearly Dilla fucking around and having fun, and you can hear it below.
