This sounds amazing. Not just because of the HBO aspect of it, but because a concert in HD (assuming you have HBO) is about as close as you’re going to get to a Jay/Bey show without breaking the bank.
Check out the Consequence of Sound excerpt:
Beyoncé and Jay Z’s record-setting “On the Run” stadium tour will be the focus of a new television concert special, set to air in September on HBO.
ON THE RUN TOUR: BEYONCÉ AND JAY Z will feature up to 40 songs recorded during the couple’s September 12th and 13th shows at Paris’ Stade de France. Past setlists have included a collaborative performance of “Drunk in Love”, Beyoncé filling in for Justin Timberlake on “Holy Grail”, Jay’s new remix of Beyoncé’s “Partition”, a tribute to Michael Jackson during “Love on Top”, and singles from their respective catalogs. I wonder though, will the part where they mock Justin Bieber make it on air?
“This is a major musical event that belongs on HBO,” said HBO’s President of Programming Michael Lombardo. “It’s going to be a night to remember.”
