The most googled women in music of 2018

With so many powerful women in entertainment, there are a few female artists who topped the list as Google’s most searched women in the world for 2018.

While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, most would not collectively disagree that, beyond being a triple threat in the entertainment industry, the following female artists are also easy on the eyes and with the advent of social media, it allows them to reach international audiences and gain an inside look into their private lives acquiring mass quantities of followers.

Aside from music, many of the following most googled female celebrities span the likes of the big screen, television, business ventures, and philanthropy.  The correlation between the amount of social media followers and internet searches is definitely not an urban legend.

Surprise.  The three most googled women in the entertainment industry of 2018 include Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, and Beyonce.

With over 121 million followers on Instagram and almost two million internet searches this year along, thirty-seven year-old Beyonce charts the list at number one with a rise in the search engine statistics around the time she revealed she was giving birth to twins back in June of 2017.  With that announcement alone, she broke social media records when she accrued over six million “red heart likes” in less than eight hours.

With her many achievements, nobody needs confirmation as to why Beyonce comes in at number one.  As if her accomplishments aren’t enough, she topped the Forbes list of 2018 as one of the “highest paid women in music,” bringing in more than $253 million.

With over 66.3 million followers, Rihanna has always been considered a vivacious sex symbol and between her sexy selfies and risqué photo shoots for her beauty company Fenty Beauty which expanded to include lingerie wear called SavagexFenty, she hit the mark with over 1.2 million searches as of this year alone.  Along with her peer Bey, she also made the Forbes list of highest paid by bringing in over $37.5 million dollars.  Here’s to hoping Rih-Rih will loan us all a few dollars.

With over 83.2 million followers on Instagram and 700,000 google searches, Jenny From The Block needs no introduction.  She’s slayed the game for well over two decades and broke the internet with her photo shoot for Instyle Magazine this year where she pulled a remix on her famous Versace Grammy dress that sent shockwaves throughout the world.
