In what is supposed to be surprising news from someone who never fails to surprise, this news is actually not all that surprising. I give thanks to Dennis Rodman for that intro.
It looks like Lil Uzi Vert and Dennis Rodman could be collaborating in the studio soon. Yes, the former NBA player Dennis Rodman and yes, the rapper we know as Lil Uzi Vert.
The man whose rebound statistics that are just as outlandish as his off-the-court antics has been making noise lately to his social media audience. He has done what you would expect Dennis Rodman to do.
On social media he screen shotted his DM’s with Lil Uzi Vert. For some reason, that is what I would expect from the popular outcast personas that these two icons both grant to their personal brands.
You can see here that Lil Uzi initiated conversation and even wanted to ‘face time’ the Hall of Famer (Do they do that a lot?) Rodman cut to the chase and prompted the “let’s collab” talk in what I can’t notice has the oddest period spacing style.
Rodman is no stranger to rap. He actually appeared on Blackbear and Mike Posner’s pop-rap track aptly named “Dennis Rodman”, where the pop culture icon spit a spoken word verse that you just have to hear to understand. It isn’t long so don’t get your hopes up.
Rodman has also contacted St. Louis rapper Smino to collaborate in the same fashion in that he and Uzi communicated over Twitter. In fact, Rodman has been all over the hip-hop world as of late. His Instagram has featured a group photo with Mike Tyson, Lil Yachty, and Quavo where he just fits in so nicely.
Since Lil Uzi’s Eternal Atake is still not here, I genuinely hope this song comes out as long as it doesn’t delay the Philadelphia rapper’s project. Actually, let’s just put Dennis on the album. Perfect.
