There’s a case to be made that “All Day” wouldn’t be as good a song if most of us hadn’t first heard it when Kanye performed the song at the 2015 BRIT Awards.
That performance was genuinely amazing. It is hot fire, literally. While Kendrick Lamar might currently be the reigning champion of awards show performances after this year’s Grammys, Kanye held sole control of that title before that. Even Taylor Swift clearly agrees.
Moreover, that so many different collaborators — just look at that writer’s byline — could produce such a singular sound as “All Day” is impressive. While the song never made it onto anything but a single, it’s certainly one of Kanye’s better efforts between albums.
