Anderson Paak in NBA TNT commercial; Run The Jewels on Monday Night Football

If you’re a sports fan, you’ve probably seen emerging rap superstar Anderson Paak star in the new NBA on TNT commercial. The NBA season starts October 25.

Dr. Dre’s protégé and latest Aftermath label signee Anderson Paak has had an incredible year. The most recent news: he was featured in the latest commercial for NBA on TNT.

Much like the recent rise of Kendrick Lamar and Chance the Rapper, it seems as if Anderson Paak is working on becoming a household name around the country. The commercial will certainly help; he’s earning some attention as many will likely wonder who the charismatic star was.

Also in the commercial, besides a wall of mirrors, included highlights from LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin, Damian Lillard, Carmelo Anthony and more. In the background, Paak discussed the power of endless possibilities.

My favorite moment was when he did a fake fadeaway jumper — can anyone confirm if he ever had hoop dreams?

In addition to some love for the Oxnard-born rapper in a sports commercial, the latest Monday Night Football promo features Run The Jewels and DJ Shadow. Note that the video above is not the commercial; it’s the music video.

While I’ve not been able to find a video for the ad anywhere online, one Twitter user (above) confirmed.
