Daryl Nelson

Daryl has been a hip-hop reporter for the last 20 years, writing for a bevy of print and digital publications. He's written album reviews, informative history pieces, lists, and interviewed famous artists. Some of the publications he's written for include Hip-Hop Lately, The Boombox, AllHipHop, Atlanta Black Star, Pop Crush, AXS, Reader's Digest, The List, and Nicki Swift. Some of the artists he's interviewed include Big Boi from Outkast, Talib Kweli, stic.man of Dead Prez, David Banner, Slim Thug, and India Arie. Currently, he’s the site expert for Rhyme Junkie. His hobbies are reading novels, cooking, hiking, working out, discovering new hip-hop music, and watching The Sopranos over and over.

Niklas Walker

Niklas is a contributor to Rhyme Junkie, and has covered music, politics, sports, and local news at Five Cent Sound, The Independent, The Berkeley Beacon, and more. During his tenure at Boston's Emerson College, Niklas founded independent publication PHNMN Mag, where he covered major hip hop releases and news. Growing up in North Carolina and now based in Brooklyn, New York, Niklas engulfs himself in music and industry news in between rooting for the Knicks.

Prateek Singh

Prateek is a hip-hop enthusiast with over a decade of deep appreciation for the genre and the culture. With experience writing album rankings, reviews, and analysis, he brings a fan's perspective to his reporting. Now a contributor at Rhyme Junkie, Prateek combines his love for hip-hop with thoughtful analysis, engaging storytelling, and a deep understanding of the genre’s cultural impact. His work aims to connect with readers who share his enthusiasm for hip-hop's music, history, and the global dominance over the last decade.

TeeJay Small

TeeJay Small is a professional humorist, pop culture columnist, and an avid enjoyer of all things hip hop. When he's not cracking wise about the latest political trends, you can find him carefully analyzing the lyrics to the latest Griselda or TDE releases, or churning out SEO friendly articles about the biggest developments in hip hop. After receiving his bachelor's degree in English/Communications from UMASS Boston, TeeJay launched a freelance writing career which saw him taking on editorial duties at respected sites such as HotNewHipHop, Giant Freakin' Robot, Blavity News, and more. If you see him on the street, be sure to ask about his dream of exploring Antarctica, but please don't get him started on the Kendrick and Drake beef, or you'll never hear the end of it.

Zane Wright

Zane is a site contributor at Rhyme Junkie. He is an expert on music, movies, and sports. He has written articles for Gridiron Heroics, Hardwood Heroics, and Fantasy Trading Room, having worked as a freelance writer since April 2024.
