Throughout hip-hop history, very few artists have had an impact on music like Eminem. The Detroit legend has been in the industry for nearly three decades and still, any new music from him makes a lot of waves. His last album The Death of Slim Shady did the same thing, debuting at number 1 on the Billboard chart with 281,000 first week sales, per Billboard.

However, the very well-received project is on the brink of handing Eminem a record he wouldn’t want on his resume. As per last week’s Billboard report, TDOSS has fallen 29 spots and is now down to number 179 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Projections suggest the album will leave the chart next week, making it the shortest-charting LP in Em’s discography. The album has been on the charts for 29 weeks now. This will be the first time an Eminem album will exit the charts in under 30 weeks. His 2017 release Revival, which was poorly received by the critics, held its position for 31 weeks, according to the site ePro.

Music To Be Murdered By, which was released in 2020, stayed on the Billboard chart for 121 weeks. Eminem also holds the record for the longest-charting hip-hop album ever. His 2005 best-of compilation, Curtain Call: The Hits, has been on the Billboard 200 chart for 721 weeks. As of today, it’s at number 46 on the chart.

In September 2024, Curtain Call : The Hits, became only the sixth album in history to chart for over 700 weeks. Despite having such a strong hold on the chart, it’s surprising that his last album is about to drop out of the Billboard 200. The album was very well received, debuted at number 1, had a number 2 Billboard Hot 100 hit, and has great replay value. It surpassed a billion streams on Spotify in September 2024.
