Back n da Hood by Mac Dre
This album is perhaps the most technically accurate based on the title, as Back n da Hood was recorded in its entirety through a telephone inside Fresno County Jail. The Vallejo native "Hyphy" rapper was a pioneer of the emergent Bay Area cultural movement, credited for bringing the style of rap to the mainstream known for its fast-paced lyrical patterns and basslines. Unfortunately, Mac Dre was later assassinated by an unknown assailant and the case actually still remains unsolved to this day.
