The dynamic duo of Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem blessed us with a new collab single that they dropped under the pgLang label on May 30, titled "The Hillbillies". It looks like this collab single drop between the cousins Kendrick and Keem seemingly came out of nowhere.

There wasn't a formal rollout or preset release date for "The Hillbillies".

The video for the song is a little over three and a half minutes long and is produced by EVILGIANE, who is also credited in the past for work with the likes of A$AP Rocky and Playboi Carti.

The music video for "The Hillbillies" is directed by Neal Farmer, with another credit going to pgLang.

This is the first collab release between Kendrick and Keem since the latter of the two was featured on one of the tracks on Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers called "Savior", which dropped a little more than one year ago.

Kendrick and Keem also famously collaborated on two songs on the 2021 album Melodic Blue, for "Range Brothers" and "Family Ties". The latter of those two songs is still Keem's most streamed song of all-time on Spotify, with more than 500 plays.

Kendrick just finished up The Big Steppers Tour, which included Baby Keem and Tanna Leone in support on Dec. 16. Kendrick is now doing the rounds for the summer festivals, including Chicago's Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo.

This is the first release from Keem since he dropped the deluxe version of Melodic Blue in October 2022. It is also the first single release since he dropped the lead tracks for the aforementioned Melodic Blue such as "Family Ties" and "Durag Activity" (feat. Travis Scott) in late 2021.
