The R&B star's 11th studio album features 22 tracks and collaborations with Future, Davido, Lojay, and more.
Chris Brown has delivered a special treat for his loyal fans, as he dropped his 11th studio album, '11:11', a day earlier than expected. The album, which was originally scheduled for release on November 11, 2023, arrived at midnight on November 10, 2023.
'11:11' is a double album that consists of two sides, each featuring 11 tracks. The first side was released at 11 AM, and the second side at 11 PM of November 11. The album title is derived from the numerological belief that seeing the number 11:11 is a sign of synchronicity and manifestation. ¹
The album showcases Brown's versatility and creativity, as he explores different genres and styles, from R&B and pop to afrobeats and dancehall. The album also features guest appearances from some of the hottest artists in the industry, such as Future, Davido, Lojay, Fridayy, and Byron Messia. Two more collaborators are yet to be revealed.
Some of the standout tracks on the album include the lead single "Summer Too Hot", a bouncy and summery anthem that celebrates the season of love; the second single "Sensational", an afrobeats-inspired song that features Nigerian stars Davido and Lojay; and the third single "Nightmares", a Jamaican Patois-influenced track that features Byron Messia.
Brown announced the early release of the album on his Instagram story, writing:
"11th album. I still pinch myself and have frequent Spatz of imposter syndrome. I'm extremely thankful and appreciative of how far I've come and the people who got me here. I continue to strive higher. MUSIC IS A CHOICE, AND I THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT."
The album has received positive reviews from critics and fans alike, who have praised Brown's artistic growth and musical diversity. The album is expected to debut at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, making it Brown's ninth-number-one album in the US.
'11:11' is available to stream on all major platforms, such as Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and YouTube.
