Kehlani announces 'Crash World Tour' with special guests Flo and Anycia
Kehlani is probably headed to a city near you — and they're bringing some special guests along.
The R&B singer took to social media on Tuesday to announce the Crash World Tour, a nod to their fourth studio album, Crash, released on June 21.
"Crash World Tour North America," Kehlani shared on social media. "(See you) soon! 😛"
British girl group Flo and rapper Anycia will serve as the opening acts on the 31-date tour, which is set to kick off on September 4 in Minneapolis. Kehlani will make stops in major cities including Toronto, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Miami, Phoenix, and Houston before wrapping in San Francisco on November 2.
With Crash peaking at No. 2 on Billboard, Kehlani extends their streak of debuting every album in the top 5 of the R&B Albums chart.
The 13-track set — which follows the Oakland native's 2022 release Blue Water Road — features collaborations with Jill Scott and Young Miko on "Sucio" and Omah Lay on "Tears". The album's lead single, "After Hours," spent several weeks on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart.
In an interview with Grammy.com ahead of the album's release, Kehlani expressed their desire for this batch of music to capture the "most fiery parts" of themselves.
"I want it to feel like the most present and energetic parts of me. I don't want anything to feel somber. I don't want anything to feel reminiscent. I think a lot of my albums in the past have been me looking back, and sitting in that feeling and detailing it. I just wanted [this album] to feel right here, right now, which is why the title came about. A crash isn't anything from the past. It isn't the anxiety of what's about to happen. It's the height of the moment. It's right now." — Kehlani
