During an eventful week for Ken Carson, he made his Coachella debut just a couple of days after his birthday. On his birthday (April 11), Carson dropped a new single titled "overseas".

Ken Carson's new single "overseas" debuts in top 20 on Spotify Daily Top Songs in USA

Carson reflects on a past European tour and his recent success on "overseas". He first previewed the song late last year on Instagram Live. Carson announced the release date of his single on a secondary Instagram account on April 1.

This is the first single Carson has released since his hit album A Great Chaos dropped in October 2023. After dropping his highest-charting album last fall, Carson could be one-upping his success with the release of "overseas" this week.

The numbers from the single's streaming debut on Spotify are very impressive, to say the least. In the Spotify daily songs chart in the USA, "overseas" debuted at No. 17. That put Carson's new single ahead of chart-topping hits such as Travis Scott and Playboi Carti's "FE!N" and 21 Savage's "redrum".

Ken also found himself as the biggest riser among the Spotify Daily Top Artists on April 12, gaining 96 spots to finish at No. 67.

Carson also topped highly-anticipated song debuts on the Spotify streaming charts in the United States for April 12, including Dua Lipa's "Illusion" and PARTYNEXTDOOR's "LoseMyMind".

"Overseas" also charted near the top of the Last.fm Global Top 10 at No. 2 on April 12. Only Sabrina Carpenter's "Espresso" topped "overseas" for each song's debut on the Last.fm Global Top 10 for April 12.

Carson's Coachella performance was his first set featuring the album A Great Chaos. While he didn't perform the new single "overseas" during his Coachella set, he did include many fan favorites from his latest record, including "Fighting My Demons" and "Paranoid".
