Ranking the best of Yeat's discography

1. Up 2 Me

Yeat's debut studio album Up 2 Me dropped in September 2021, making it his third project to drop of the year after Alive and 4L. This project hit hard at the time when it dropped in the fall of 2021.

To this day, Up 2 Me still holds up as one of the most influential albums to come out of the rage-rap subgenre. It is a staple as rage music has continued to blow up in the early 2020s, yet, in so many ways, this album still doesn't get the credit it deserves in the mainstream. Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and Vibe, among many other notable music publications, didn't even recognize Up 2 Me among the 20 or 30 best rap albums of 2021, despite its obvious influence during the rapid rise of the rage-rap subgenre.

Yeat continued to push the boundaries of rage-rap on this project with his outlandish bars and ad-libs while infusing different production elements that most fans hadn't heard before (i.e. the now-infamous bells).

If not for this album being another one in Yeat's catalog that ran a bit too long, being nearly an hour long with 22 tracks, Up 2 Me had the potential to be one of the best and most influential in the entire rap genre in 2021. There are five or six songs in the middle of the tracklist that kill a lot of the momentum that builds from rage bangers such as "Get Busy", "U Could Tëll", and "Turban".

The highs on this album make it one of the absolute best and most refreshing listens in what is becoming an increasingly-drowned out rage-rap scene.
