A hip-hop release that more fans in this space should be taking notice of this summer is Killer Mike's first solo studio album release in more than a decade, called Michael. Killer Mike will drop his first studio LP since 2012's critically-acclaimed record R.A.P. Music.

Since R.A.P. Music dropped in the early 2010s, Killer Mike has still stayed active in the rap scene, releasing absolute classics as one-half of the Run the Jewels duo with El-P.
