The Millennium Tour, promoted by The Black Promoters Collective, landed in Detroit back in March and it was definitely a show I’d recommend. If you’re looking to be entertained by the lyrics that framed your early teen years, this is the concert for you. There were five moments from Little Caesars Arena that made the night unforgettable.

Bow Wow’s birthday celebration

It just so happens that Bow Wow’s birthday fell ceremoniously as The Millennium Tour crowd partied into the night. Born March 9, Bow Wow was able to perform as a headliner and be celebrated as Jermaine Dupri, Sammie, Pleasure P and a bevy of others presented him with a birthday cake and led the audience in an arena-wide rendition of “Happy Birthday.”

The 38-year-old wiped tears from his eyes as the swarm of love, on and off the stage, may have overtaken him in that moment.

Ray J gets lost in the crowd

RSVP’s arrival on The Millennium Tour stage was a sight to see. Ray J’s mask reveal was one thing, but when Sammie, Bobby Valentino, and Pleasure P were left searching for Mr. “Sexy Can I," he popped up at the back of the arena, draped in a fur, purposefully embracing as many fans as he could, while he made his way back to the stage.

The moment began as a performance of “One Wish” but ended in an extended pause of the show. If anyone expected him to show up without antics, they haven’t paid attention to the reality star for a while. Off-the-wall has become an attraction of Ray J’s brand, and for as many fans in attendance that were annoyed, twice as many were just waiting for a hug.

Peezy and Icewear Vezzo take the stage

Bow Wow recognized the power of regional culture when he rolled out the red carpet for Detroit artists Peezy and Icewear Vezzo. It allowed the city to revel in the classics that he set forth back in the early 2000s and sing along to a few homegrown bangers.

Peezy was able to perform the viral hit “2 Million Up,” while Vezzo graced the stage with songs like “Money Phone” and “Up the Scoe.” The latter even made sure to speak to Bow Wow’s legendary status in hip-hop as the two embraced on and off stage.

Omarion’s nod to Dodger Blue

Omarion’s set was multi-versed and included a quick nod to a couple of hits from Kendrick Lamar's GNX album. He and his dancers line-stepped to one of the “Dodger Blue” hustles created since the album’s release.

This particular version of the dance was introduced by creative director and choreographer Jeremy Green, who worked with Omarion for The Millennium Tour 2025 to create such a polished set. Green also recently worked with Nelly for his iHeartradio Awards performance.

Boosie takes us back to 2020

One thing that can be said about Boosie is that he doesn't bite his tongue. If there is something on his mind, it will most likely be broadcast to social media or on your favorite interviewer’s podcast, for better or for worse. This night in Detroit was no different. As Boosie took a breath and looked around the arena, a smirk crept across his face.

He put the microphone to his lips and belted out, “Put yo p***y l**s on live, I'll give you a thousand dollars.” It was a saying that went viral during 2020 when many of us were under strict quarantine guidelines due to the massive spread of Covid.
