André 3000 disappointed a lot of fans after saying he no longer wants to rap. Plus, it seemed that many were shocked when he released an all-flute album called New Blue Sun that's now nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammys.

Some might've thought the Outkast legend wouldn't be making new music for a while after releasing New Blue Sun, but that's not the case. In a recent interview with Amazon Music, André said he will be dropping new tunes, because he wants to keep his creative rhythm going.

"What does an André 3000 vision board look like going into 2025?" asked the host. "New music, for sure," Andre answered. "New ways to distribute and express. I don’t wanna pinpoint what it is but I just wanna express more."

So, the question is, will the Georgia native be putting out another flute album or will he return to hip-hop? If he does start rhyming again, it means that he's gotten over feeling too old to be a rapper.

That's because for some time now, André said he doesn't have anything to rhyme about in his 40s, an opinion that received a lot of pushback from other rappers. Lil Wayne is one of the people who reacted, and he said André's opinion saddened him.

"I read a depressing quote or two from someone that I respect a lot in hip-hop and music period," said Wayne last year on his Young Money radio show. "They would ask, 'Why you ain't been doing music,' and they was like, 'Man what am I gonna talk about? I'm in my 40s, like what am I going to talk about? What you want to know about me being 40 and the life I'm living?'...I was like that's so depressing I have everything to talk about."
