It's safe to say that Drake had a rough 2024, and so far 2025 hasn't been all that kind to him either.
Last year, the OVO rapper had beef with a number of prominent artist including Rick Ross, A$AP Rocky, The Weeknd, and Metro Boomin. Then there's Kendrick Lamar, who many said defeated Drake in their battle after dropping the diss song, "Not Like Us."
The cut took on a life of its own. It was constantly played on radio, achieved chart success, and won five Grammy awards earlier this month. But the buzz surrounding "Not Like Us" wasn't done there, because Kendrick performed it at Super Bowl LIX, and many in the arena rapped along in unison.
Boosie Badazz weighed in on Kendrick's halftime show and said he feels bad for Drake. The Baton Rouge rapper also came down on the people who collaborated with him, saying those artists should've come to his defense. The way Boosie sees it, the OVO rapper should never work with those artists again.
"JUST IMAGINING HOW DRAKE FEEL AFTER BOOSTING SO MANY ARTIST CAREERS WITH HIS FEATURES," tweeted Boosie on Monday, February 10. "N THOSE SAME MFS AINT GOT S--T TO SAY POSITIVE ABOUT THIS DUDE. THATS WEAK A-S F--K TO ME‼️ON GOD, IF I WAS DRAKE NOBODY COULD EVER GET ANOTHER FEATURE FROM ME ‼."
A lot of people sided with Boosie, but others disagreed by saying Drake also benefited from working with those artists, because he received street credibility.
"Let's not act like those features didn't benefit Drake's career as well," one person wrote, after The Neighborhood Talk shared Boosie's tweet. "Drake who is an actor from Canada ... got to get on tracks with 21 savage and talk gangster."
