There's been a lot of talk surrounding Drake's recent Instagram post. He shared it on Monday, and it has to do with the next chapter of his career. Charlamagne tha God —who's been a critic of Drake for a while now — reacted to the message on The Breakfast Club and laid into him.
But before getting into what Charlamagne said, here's what Drake wrote:
"U know I grew up non confrontational and always treated this game as a sport where my pen won gold, but my these days the podium has been hard for all of us to ignore. I understand that this next chapter may leave you feeling uneasy, but I hope you see my honesty as clarity not charity that answers some questions especially about the unanswered texts you’ve been sending me."
Charlamagne's issue with Drake's message is that he believes it has to do with Kendrick Lamar. The radio host basically called Drizzy a poor sport since the general consensus is that he lost to the Compton rapper. Charlamagne then told Drake to move on, and if he has something else to say to Kendrick, he shouldn't communicate it in cryptic Instagram post, he should put it in a song.
"Okay, Drake. All you did was lose a rap battle. That's all it was," said Charlamagne. "Nobody has handled losing a rap battle worse than Drake. That's all it was at the end of the day. It was a rap battle. You still rich. People still listen to your music. You're alive. Your child is healthy, your friends are healthy, your family is healthy. Who cares?"
"He really don't have a lot to talk about, especially if all you gonna talk about is the aftermath of losing a rap battle," he also stated. "If you still gonna be taking subtle shots at Kendrick, you should've put all of that in the music and you shouldn't have ended it at 'The Heart Part 6.'"
