Charleston White celebrates & laughs at Lil Durk's arrest
By Daryl Nelson
A lot of people might be yelling "Free Durk" after Lil Durk was arrested yesterday and charged with murder-for-hire. But not YouTuber and professional troller Charleston White. He actually made fun of the arrest.
White also compared Durk's troubles to his recent arrest after he was charged with aggravated assault and killing, poisoning or causing serious bodily injury to an animal without the owner’s consent. White was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on top of that.
"The chickens coming home to roost," he said about Durk's arrest. "Ain’t nobody laughing at Durk like they was laughing at me when I went to jail ... Now, it ain’t funny. Now, your favorite rapper go to jail and look like he got a no bond like me. But that boy got a federal no bond."
Then White said he'll always be able to maintain his position as an internet figure who comments on hip-hop, because so many rappers get themselves into trouble. "I will never lose in this s--t," he boldly claimed. "As long as rap exists, I’m gonna have a platform. You n----s love them rappers but wanna hate the community activist."
According to the feds, Durk recruited five men from his hometown of Chicago to kill rapper Quando Rondo in Los Angeles in 2022. He allegedly paid for their flights, as well as a rental car, and used a credit card from his record label OTF. But Rondo's cousin, Saviay'a Robinson, otherwise known as Lul Pab, was killed instead since he was with Rondo in Los Angeles at the time.
Some might recall that Rondo got into a fight with OTF rapper King Von in 2020, and Rondo's friend Timothy "Lul Tim" Leeks shot and killed Von as soon as the fight began. So, authorities say Durk wanted to kill Rondo in retaliation.
Plus, as TMZ reports, the feds secured a text message that Durk allegedly sent to one of the five men before Robinson was killed. "Don’t book no flights under no names involved wit me," they say the message reads.
It's also been reported that Durk was arrested at a Miami airport and was on his way to Italy.
