Coi Leray made a solid name for herself with her albums Trendsetter and Coi, but she might be laying low for the foreseeable future, because of her former label 1801 Records.

On Tuesday, October 22, the New Jersey-raised rapper went on social media and accused 1801 of trying to ruin her career. She also called out a guy named Billy J, who co-founded the label, according to his LinkedIn page.

"I’ve been silent for so long," wrote Coi. "Y’all don’t understand how depressed this s--t has me and I’m beyond tired of fighting!”

"Billy is the only person trying to hold on,” she added in a separate post. “1801 isn’t even a company anymore! Kmack wants nothing to do with him. Everyone on that company wanted nothing to do with him."

From there, the "Players" creator gave a few more details about her situation and said she was duped into signing a contract. She also threatened to stop releasing music until Billy J and 1801 are out of her life for good.

"Five years ago, I signed the production deal with 1801 when I was 21 because they finessed me and had me use their lawyer that didn’t read me the contract terms," she wrote. "I’m so depressed with these people on my back and I will never drop another record in my life until I fight every bone in my body for this man right here to just leave me alone ... I will be telling everything."

But even though Coi's professional life has seen better days, her personal life seems to be going pretty well. Why? Because she got back with Trippie Redd after they broke up in 2019.

In August, it was reported that Coi shared a video call between herself and Trippie, and in a tweet she said they stayed up all night conversing. "Sleeping on FaceTime, waking up on FaceTime 🥰," she wrote.

They were seen kissing on stage a little after that.

Then later, Trippie explained how they got back together while speaking to TMZ, saying he simply reached out to Coi. Now, we'll have to see how her situation with 1801 works out.
