Jay-Z is being sued and accused of raping a 13-year-old girl with Diddy in 2000 after the MTV Video Music Awards. He's already responded to the suit and said the allegation is completely false.
The lawsuit was filed by attorney Tony Buzbee, who is representing more than 120 people, and they all accuse Diddy of sex crimes. The suit was first filed in October, and Jay-Z was added once it was amended.
Diddy's legal team quickly reacted to the new filing, and they call it a shakedown attempt. "This amended complaint and the recent extortion lawsuit against Mr. Buzbee exposes his barrage of lawsuits against Mr. Combs for what they are," Diddy’s legal team told TMZ. "Shameless publicity stunts."
Unsurprisingly, the accusation against Jay-Z caused a major stir in and out of the hip-hop world. 50 Cent teased the Brooklyn rapper, writing on social media that he wonders if the Super Bowl would still happen since Jay's company Roc Nation helps put the halftime show together.
Meek Mill also responded and suggested there's a major conspiracy to ruin big-time rappers. Meanwhile, Jay reacted to the allegation in a statement.
"These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!!" wrote Jay. "Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case."
"My only heartbreak is for my family," he continued. "My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence ... My heart and support goes out to true victims in the world, who have to watch how their life story is dressed in costume for profitability by this ambulance chaser in a cheap suit."
Buzbee responded to Jay's statement, saying the rapper sued him, as well his firm and tried to silence his client.
