Jack Harlow is serious about his craft, and he isn't known for dialing in his rhymes with half-hearted attempts. The latest proof of that is the Kentucky rhymer's new song "Tranquility" where he fuses introspection with braggadocio.

“Twenty-five hundred plus a couple utilities / F--k it, I'll pay it just to keep the tranquility / F--k it, I love ya, I'll do anything for you / 'Cept settle down with you / I don't want nobody grillin' me / Y'all boys' lame s--t killin' me / Need to be reintroduced to humility / I ain't lookin' for no hip-hop credibility / Give a f--k who feelin' me, I'm feelin' me,” he raps.

Elsewhere in the song, Jack raps about being a celebrity ambassador for New Balance and tells the company he now wants a dime for every shoe sold. He addresses his label Atlantic Records as well and says he wants the same money that his label mate Ed Sheeran received when the singer renegotiated his contract.

The video to the song was shot in New York City, and Jack can be seen delivering his well-worded rhymes while walking in cloudy weather. He's sporting a dark trench coat and hat on top of that, which lends to the rather somber look of the visuals.

The 26-year-old has rapped about the pressures of fame before, like on his 2023 song "Denver." He also discussed it with Variety a few years back and said one of the biggest challenges is being recognized for everything but his music.

"Once you become actually famous, it's only half about the music," he explained. "They're just showing up to see you in the flesh, put you on their Snap, throw some panties at you, whether they know a single lyric or not."

"When 'Whats Poppin' came out, it was so much about the music, but this year, I feel like I've put myself out there so much that my personality's caught up with it. The fame is fun, but I have such a love for the craft. I want to get back to it, and I'm hungry to kill s---."
