Hip-hop heavyweight 50 Cent took to Twitter on Sunday to celebrate the birthdays of two music icons: Ed Sheeran, Dr. Dre. In a cryptic tweet Fiddy cued us on an inspiring link up which could hypothetically turn the industry upside down.

The birthday shoutouts

Ed Sheeran: The British singer-songwriter turned 31 on February 18, and 50 Cent didn't miss a beat. He posted a throwback photo of himself alongside the chart-topping crooner, captioning it,

"Happy Birthday to my boy @edsheeran. "

In 2019, 50 Cent, Eminem, and Ed Sheeran collaborated on the track “Remember the Name.” The song, which seamlessly blended rap and pop elements, showcased the versatility of both artists. Sheeran, known for his soulful ballads and chart-topping hits, stepped into the hip-hop realm alongside rap icon 50 Cent. The result? A dynamic fusion that left fans wanting more.

Fast forward to 2023: 50 Cent surprises fans during his London concert by bringing out none other than Ed Sheeran. The o2 Arena erupted as Sheeran performed his diamond-certified anthem, “Shape of You.” The moment was electric, and 50 Cent captured it on Instagram, writing,

50 Cent is indeed working on a new album, and he’s bringing in the legendary Dr. Dre to assist him! The superstar television executive is temporarily stepping away from his worlds of BMFand Power to create fresh music. According to 50 Cent, he received a text from Eminem, who had already spoken to Dre. Dr. Dre is reportedly cooking up some crazy stuff for 50 Cent to hear. This collaboration promises to be exciting.

50 Cent rolled up to Big Boy's Neighbourhood and spilled the beans about receiving a call from Shady/Aftermath to return to the studio.

"I got a text from [Eminem] that he had already spoke to Dre, and that Dre is in there and he got some crazy stuff for me to go hear,” 50 Cent said. “This is my process: I’ll go make something, what I can find, the best music that I can put my hands on. And when I feel real good about it, I bring it to put pressure on Dre to offer me something. ‘Cause he’ll have something… He’s always had something."

In addition to the music project, 50 Cent is also expanding his BMF series with multiple spinoffs. The details about these spinoffs will be announced later. Furthermore, 50 Cent is executive producing a new scripted drama series titled Fightland, which delves into the dark side of the sport after a retired world champion fighter’s childhood friend and training partner disappears
