For much of 2024, the talk surrounding Drake centered around his historic battle with Kendrick Lamar and the opinion that Lamar got the better of him. But as of Tuesday, August 6, that chatter began to shift, thanks to Drake releasing 100 gigabytes of content on the website 100gigs.org.

There are a large number of photos and videos in the data dump, which document some of Drake's storied career. Plus, there are three new songs included, "It's Up," featuring Young Thug and 21 Savage, "Housekeeping Knows," featuring Latto, and "Blue Green Red."

Other major reveals include the OVO rapper ghostwriting for Kanye West, showing album cover ideas, and letting fans know which of his exes he wrote songs about — like, the 2016 cut "Too Good," featuring Rihanna. In the clip, Drake says he wrote the song about Serena Williams, who he dated from 2010 to 2015.

"This is more about me and Serena," he tells his mother Sandra Graham. "It’s funny because when I make songs about women, I also make songs for them. So, I know what kind of song to make — if I’m gonna talk about them, I’ll at least do them the justice of making them a song that they like. OK? I know Serena very well, and I know that she’ll hear it loud and clear, but she’ll also not hate me for it because it’s lighthearted.”

Plus, there's a clip of Drake working on his smash hit "Hotline Bling," off his 2015 Views album. He talks about creating it after being inspired by Washington D.C. rapper Shy Glizzy. Drake speaks about possibly tapping Future for the song as well, who he's now beefing with.

"Writing it, I tried to write like a Shy Glizzy song ... That's why I was asking the other day if you think I should put Future on it," Drake explains. On top of that, the actor-turned-rapper says he named the song after a woman who he was seeing, because her phone would always explode with calls while they were in bed together.

Another interesting clip is Drake and his longtime producer Noah “40” Shebib waiting for none other than Jay-Z to deliver his verse for the song "Talk Up," off Drake's 2010 Scorpion LP. The OVO rapper can be seen hugging Shebib as well as others in celebration since the album was done and just needed to be mixed and mastered.

Drake says he wants to take a two-hour nap in the clip while Jay-Z is performing on stage because he wants to be up in case the rap legend asks his opinion while recording. If anything, the video shows that Drake is incredibly hands-on with his projects, which should dispel talk that he uses ghostwriters to craft his material.

Drake is seen creating the chorus to Kanye West's 2018 song "Yikes" in addition to that but sings a version much longer than what appears on the finished product. The clip was made before Drake and West had a major falling out, which happened when Drake went to Wyoming to help the GOOD Music founder with his Ye LP.

Other cool clips include Drake playing table tennis with Stephen Curry.

Giving his son Adonis a tour of a stage that he was performing on. "Look at that, that's where daddy works," Drake tells his little one, who was just a toddler then.

There's also a video of Drake and Rihanna rehearsing their 2011 hit "Take Care" as well.

These are just some of the standout clips in the data dump, and there's much more to sift through. It could be said the behind-the-scenes footage shows another side of Drake and allows people to see true bits of his personality. Who knows? Maybe that's why he released the content, to change the negative talk that's been expressed by his detractors since the Lamar beef ended.
