Chance the Rapper drops new song '3,333,' raps about performing for only 17 people

If you're not excited about Chance the Rapper's upcoming album Star Line, you should be. That's because he's already dropped some impressive and well-received singles like "Buried Alive," "Stars Out," and "Together." Now, he's released the cut "3,333," another banger.
The song, which is accompanied by a music video, documents Chance's struggles before fame. He also raps about selling a small number of tickets for a performance.
"I go out on that stage and I close my eyes cause it's only 17 people, no surprise / It's a showcase, some of my friends ain't show up / But every hand in that place gang get thrown up," spits the Chicago artist.
He raps about other struggles as well, like not being able to fill enough seats at the Minnesota State Fair.
"Your boy front and center Minnesota State Fair / The agents blowing up my brother said it ain't there / The venue hold 14,000, at this point you should probably think of pulling out / And what they gon' say when videos come out sayin' he was on the top but he fell from the mountain," raps Chance.
The Midwestern wordsmith continues that train of thought by saying he didn't care about the low ticket sales. However, it's not clear if Chance is rapping about a past performance or a future one since he's scheduled to play the Minnesota State Fair on August 23.
This new single, and the other songs Chance dropped this year, comes after his last album The Big Day was panned by fans and critics. So, it could be said that Star Line is a make-or-break album for him.
But again, if the 2024 singles that he dropped is any indication of what Star Line will sound like, the 31-year-old could be releasing the best album of his career. No word on when the LP is dropping, though.
