Common has dated a bevy of famous women, but he hasn't tied the knot with any of them. However, last month, during an interview on Philadelphia's 100.3 FM, the 52-year-old said he'd be willing to marry his current girlfriend Jennifer Hudson.

Well, she confronted him about that interview and the two had a serious talk about marriage on "The Jennifer Hudson Show." Common spoke first and broke down what he said on that radio show.

“I was asked about marriage, and I just answered honestly,” he told Hudson. "I said, you know what? You told me a quote that your mother said, 'A man knows what he wants.' And I was just saying my true feelings about, listen, Jennifer is the person. If I should be married, it will be to Jennifer Kate Hudson. I was just being honest."

Then the Chicago rapper turned the tables on Hudson and asked how she felt about exchanging I-dos. The singer said she's willing but it'll have to be at the right time.

"My mother was right,” Hudson told him. "I think if she had met you, she’d say, 'I don’t know about the rest of them but that Common is alright with me.' That’s what she would say and I would agree. I think it’s a beautiful thing. I think you’re a deserving man, and I support that idea. That’s a beautiful idea … In due time, if it ever gets to that place."

Afterward, Common said he's been listening to God more these days and feels like his relationship with Hudson has real purpose. Besides the Oscar winning-singer, he's dated Taraji P. Henson, Serena Williams, Erykah Badu, Tiffany Haddish, as well as attorney and political commentator Angela Rye.

So, will Hudson be the one who finally turns Common from a heartthrob to a husband? It's possible, because we haven't seen him talk this much about marriage. Especially not on national television.
