DJ Khaled is known for his star-studded collaborations, but he recently revealed that he could have worked with Drake much earlier than he did. In an interview, the producer and DJ said that he once received a MySpace message from a young Drake in 2007, but he didn't see it until years later.

"I was on MySpace back in the day, and I got a DM from Drake," Khaled said. "He was like, 'Yo, I'm a fan of your music. I want to work with you.' He sent me his demo. It was him rapping and singing. I was like, 'Wow, this is amazing.
"

However, Khaled said that he was so busy at the time that he forgot to reply to Drake's message. He said that he only realized his mistake when he met Drake in person in 2009, and the rapper reminded him of their online interaction.

"He was like, 'Yo, you remember me? I'm the kid that hit you on MySpace.' I was like, 'Oh, snap! That was you?' He was like, 'Yeah, man. You never hit me back.' I felt so bad. I was like, 'I'm sorry, bro. I get so many messages. I didn't see it."

Khaled said that he apologized to Drake and told him that he loved his music. They exchanged numbers and started working together soon after. They have since collaborated on several hit songs, such as "I'm On One", "For Free", "To the Max", and "Popstar".

Khaled said that he still has the MySpace message from Drake, and he considers it a "special moment" in his career. He said that he is grateful for Drake's persistence and talent, and he hopes to continue making music with him.

"Drake is one of the greatest artists of our generation," Khaled said. "He can do anything. He can rap, he can sing, he can make hits. He's a genius. I'm blessed to have him as a friend and a brother.
