It's been three days since Kendrick Lamar announced he'd be playing the halftime show at Super Bowl LIX, and the backlash surrounding Jay-Z is still going strong.

So far, people like Nicki Minaj, Birdman, Drake, Boosie Baddazz, and DJ Akademiks have blasted Jay because his company Roc Nation picked Lamar over Lil Wayne, despite Wayne being from New Orleans where the Super Bowl is taking place.

There have been some who've come to Jay's defense, however, Jay Electronica being one of them. On Wednesday, September 11, he sent a series of tweets and criticized the people ripping him.

"N****s got all this smoke for Hov but they ain’t got no smoke for David Geffen and jimmy iovine and lucían grange and lyor cohen etcetera etcetera. I DO NOT RESPECT YOUR GANGSTER. You p***y," tweeted Electronica.

"And how yall so quick to let yall gun bust at your brother over nothing," he added. "If yall would put 10 percent of this negative energy over a FOOTBALL game into unifying for one common cause, our ppl would be free overnight. Salaaam Alaikum."

Electronica — who's from New Orleans — also seemed to criticize Shreveport, Louisiana native Hurricane Chris for not only slamming Jay-Z but 50 Cent. Last month, Chris said that 50 should've included more Louisiana artists at his Humor & Harmony show, and posted an angry video about it.

"And let’s be real. @50cent just opened an entire industry in shreveport and these p***y a*s nights slave cooning over a football game. If you don’t get the f**k outta my face," Electronica tweeted.

Meanwhile, Fat Joe also defended Jay-Z and said people should be happy about the Brooklyn legend adding rap acts to the Super Bowl halftime show. "How about : If he wasn't doing shows, it'd be no hip hop," Joe reasoned.
