When Spinabenz, Yungeen Ace, FastMoney Goon, and Whoppa Wit Da Choppa sampled Vanessa Carlton's 2002 song "A Thousand Miles" for their cut "Who I Smoke” in 2021, Carlton gave her approval.

So, it'll be interesting to hear what she says about Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign also doing a remake of her song, which they debuted on Saturday at China's Haikou’s Wuyuanhe Stadium. The show was part of their Vultures Listening Experience.

A clip shows one of the men singing lyrics similar to "A Thousand Miles" in front of a sold out crowd. Then people took to social media and expressed confusion about it. The track also has adlibs from comedian Skinbone when he did "A Thousand Miles" parody in 2018.

"What the f**k [is this] even the vultures era anymore," one person wrote, according to HipHopDX. "This is terrible," someone else stated on YouTube. Plus, someone else tweeted, "Kanye is losing his creativity in real time lmao." And a fourth person wrote, “Vultures 3 is gonna be the biggest troll ever."

"But others liked the remake with someone writing, "I don't care what people say this is beautiful and funny at the same time."

Then in another part of the show, Ye dissed Adidas, the company he released his Yeezy line through until they parted ways with him in 2022 for making anti-Semitic remarks. The crowd was heard saying "f**k Adidas" as well, which led to Kanye throwing up his middle finger. "I hope that was okay," he said, seeming to worry if he violated China's obscenity law.

Some might recall the falling out between Ye and the athletic brand being extremely public with Ye taking shots at them in various interviews. He even accused Adidas of putting a $75 million hold on his bank accounts.
