For now, Kendrick Lamar and Drake have ended their back and forth, but their friends haven't.
Earlier this week, Top5, who's down with Drake and OVO, threatened Kendrick and Metro Boomin. This was just days after he beat a murder charge and thanked Drake for paying his legal fees. But Kendrick's people have since responded with threats of their own.
"I’m looking for Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar," said Top5 while speaking to streamers DJ Akademiks and Adin Ross. "I’m doing my homework right now, I’m doing my task on them. Nothing incriminating, I’m just looking for them. I want Metro Boomin one-on-one. I don’t want no weapons, nothing. I’d knock him the f**k out."
"Kendrick Lamar, you passed the border. Chubbs called me," he continued. "I will quit rapping if Kendrick Lamar goes to New Ho King without 20 police officers. You're crazy for testing my gangster."
Plus, Top5 said he's meeting up with Drake to watch the video to Kendrick's Drake diss "Not Like Us," so he can look for the people in it.
Kendrick's friend Hitta J3 responded on X and wrote, "Come find out then." Hitta also posted a video of Top5 seeming to back away from a fight after being disrespected. "This the tuff guy yall talking bout?" Hitta captioned the clip.
Kendrick's friend Smac responded to Top5 as well and said he's not worried about his threat at all. “F**k you and Toronto, Top5. You ain’t gotta come find us, we’ll find you," he said on the FMW podcast . "I’m on that m*****f****r. Come to L.A., we’re gonna shut you down, b**h."
"We’re gonna smack the f**k out this p***y b***h," he added. "We stand on business ... F**k him, f**k Toronto, F**k Top5, F**k his sister, f**k his daughter. He threatening us, it’s all off the table now. You threaten us, f**k your whole family."
Hopefully, all of this is just tough talk and no violence breaks out. We'll have to see.
