Lauren London says she's still 'a mess' after Nipsey Hussle's death
By Daryl Nelson
When Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed in Los Angeles on March 31, 2019, it's safe to say that many began thinking about all he did for his South L.A. community.
Then after that people probably began feeling bad for Nipsey's mate, actor Lauren London, who shares a son with him named Kross Asghedom. In a new interview on the podcast A Really Good Cry, she talked about how difficult it's been to carry on without the legendary rapper since his passing.
"I still feel like a mess," Lauren admitted. "I guess I have to ask my friends how far I've come, because I still genuinely feel like I have not arrived anywhere ... I feel like I'm really heavy a lot but again, I have to counter that to just, like, the grace of God. ... I also don't want to take away from the work that I've done from then until now."
Lauren went on to say that people's prayers and her two children helped her cope so far. Besides Kross, she has another son named Kameron Carter with Lil Wayne.
"It's so different with both of them," she said about her boys. "Because one's 14, the other one's seven, so you know, I'm always, like, a container for whatever emotion they have. I'm just like, 'It's okay to feel all these things, you know? I'm holding it for you, I feel you, I understand, I hear you' ... But also, playing his music, I'm always telling them to journal as well, like, write him a letter, tell him how you feel."

Nipsey's older brother Blacc Sam also talked about the late rapper earlier this month in an interview with Big Boy's Off Air and said he's baffled at how someone was able to get close enough to harm his brother.
That's because Sam and others served as Nipsey's security team whenever Nipsey was at the Marathon Clothing store where the murder took place. Sam said people usually guarded the door with weapons, and he isn't sure why that same protocol wasn't followed on the day his brother was killed.
"So, it’s Sunday. It’s busy in there," Sam recalled. "Why the n****s in there didn’t follow the protocol? I wasn’t there. Why they didn’t follow it? Maybe they was f*****g around, helping a customer who was doing some f******g customer service. This is what I’m thinking ... But nobody was in the doorway. "
"From my understanding, ol’ boy walked up with no shirt on first to check the scene ‘cause he knows what’s going on in that parking lot,” he continued. "Had a conversation, probably seen no one was in the doorway, checked Hussle had on shorts, checked everybody else, left. They say he came back with a red shirt on. Tip-toed through the alley, went right and started shooting."
