Nicki Minaj recruits Megan Thee Stallion's former best friend Kelsey Harris for shoe ad

Nicki Minaj has a new shoe line with the apparel company LØCI, and she secured none other than Megan's ex-best friend Kelsey Harris to help promote it. There's one photo of Kelsey sitting on a gold-colored barrel while reading a newspaper and another of her sitting on a bicycle while a purple train speeds by.

"Have y’all checked out the @locibynickiminaj shoe line? Now available at @dtlrofficial & @shoepalace💕I’m wearing the 'Press Play' shoe," Kelsey captioned the photos. "This brand is eco friendly & constantly working to protecting future generations to come. Available in-store & online."

Based on Nicki's issues with Megan, it's obvious that Kelsey wasn't a random selection to promote her shoe line. The rappers started beefing around 2021 and later dissed each other in songs. Megan dropped the cut "Hiss" and Nicki responded with "Big Foot."

In regards to Kelsey — who also goes by Kelsey Nicole — she was in an SUV with Megan and Tory Lanez when Tory shot the rapper in the feet. The incident happened in 2020 while all three were riding around together in Los Angeles.

Eventually, Megan accused Kelsey of receiving bribe money from Tory so she wouldn't tell authorities exactly what happened. Then in 2023, Tory was convicted of felony assault for the shooting and was sentenced to 10 years in prison without the possibility of parole. But Kelsey said she doesn't know why her friendship with Megan ended.

"It's so unclear to me why we fell out," said Kelsey on The Danza Project in March. "I'm a type of person who likes to communicate things. Some people don't like to communicate. When you're close to this person and this person is supposed to be like your best friend, your family, your sister, like, you'd be able to talk about these things and agree to disagree."

As of this writing, Megan hasn't said anything about Kelsey being recruited by Nicki to help promote her shoe line. But some of Megan's fans did and they blasted Kelsey on social media.
