Hip-hop artist T-Pain responds to online backlash after a video of him dancing to Kendrick Lamar's hit song "Not Like Us" goes viral.

In a recent viral video, T-Pain was seen dancing to Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us,” and it seems the internet had some opinions. The King of Auto-Tune showcased his moves on stage in Las Vegas while the Mustard-produced track played in the background. However, not everyone was impressed, and T-Pain took to social media to address the criticism.

The ongoing feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake has diehard fans of both artists ready to defend their favorites at all costs. T-Pain found himself caught in the crossfire after his lively dance routine to Lamar’s diss track raised eyebrows.

He responded on Twitter, saying,

"Welp! You heard it here first folks. Don’t drunk dance in a robe. Somehow it’s a political statement now.” He also added, “Please don’t let somebody else’s beef kill y’all’s fun. Let people dance, PLEASE!! Mustard killed that beat though. It’d be pretty weird if you didn’t dance to it"

"He added, [Please] don’t let somebody else’s beef kill y’all’s fun. Let [people] dance PLEASE!! Mustard killed that f##### beat tho. It’d be pretty weird if you didn’t dance to it."

This isn’t the first time T-Pain has shared his thoughts on fellow artists. In 2023, during an episode of his Nappy Boy Radio podcast, he discussed Drake and even suggested that the Canadian rapper is the new leader of the “simping” music movement.

As fans and critics debate the boundaries of artistic expression, it is important to remember that behind every viral video lies a human being with their unique perspective and intentions. T-Pain's candid response serves as a reminder that even in the face of criticism, artists will continue to create and evolve.

T-Pain’s dance moves sparked controversy, but he’s standing by his right to have fun. Whether you’re Team Kendrick or Team Drake, the viral video got people talking. As for T-Pain, he’s just out here enjoying the music and encouraging others to do the same.
