3. I Don't Like S**t, I Don't Go Outside - Earl Sweatshirt (2015)

Earl Sweatshirt has truly had two careers. The early version was a great rapper that can have a playful side, while touching into his darker, traumatic side. The new version is still a great rapper, but is more rugged in nature. However, I believe the best version is the older self. He was a young kid that seemed wiser beyond his years in good ways, but also bad ways that hindered his mental health.

An album that highlights his anguish is I Don't Like S**t, I Don't Go Outside. Earl Sweatshirt on this project was a breath of fresh air the first time I listened to it. The production was very sinister in some aspects, as he brought you into his mind. There were talks about his depression, break-up, and troubles with a sense of fame. "Faucet" is one of the best songs of Earl Sweatshirt's career. He just seems so hurt by everything around him and that there is nowhere else to go.

The album is a plea for help in some regards, which isn't shocking that we got a different version of him once he came back to music after a several year absence. This album does not necessarily reflect his newer sound, but it is still a great piece of music that should be listened to by the masses.
