Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys tied the knot on July 31, 2010, at a house wedding on the Mediterranean Sea.

Since then, there hasn't been any news stories about them separating or having a big marital blow up. Maybe because they've never had an argument in their 15-year marriage. At least that's what Swizz claimed in a recent interview with Us Magazine. Now, he did say he and Keys have disagreements, but it never escalates into a full blown fight.

"Marriage is definitely a big word, but look at it like your best friend,” Swizz advised. “The communication is there. We’ve never had an argument. Since we’ve been together, our kids [have] never seen it; never seen us raise our voice [or] never seen us yell. Never seen us curse at each other. Why? Because of communication ... When you yell at each other, no one is really listening anyway. Nothing gets solved in each other’s yelling."

Swizz followed that up by saying the only way a marriage will work is if each person lets the other be fully themselves without using control.

“People think they can own people. You can’t. It’s not property that you own," he said. "There’s a whole human, right? So, we’re very clear on that. She’s her own boss. I’m my own boss. That’s how we make magic when we come together. I think that helps because people start getting very territorial and making their partner property, and I think that’s the biggest mistake.”

That sounds like solid advice to us.
