COVID-19 took a colossal sized toll on people's mental health, and SZA is among that group.

The singer opened up about her struggles on X, saying that she was staying at her mother's house during the pandemic and was practicing some unhealthy habits. But fortunately for SZA, those days are now behind her and based on her tweet, she's thankful for them.

"Covid was hard … my granny had just died .. I was hella depressed n masking. Not eating. Over working out," she wrote. "But I always had my childhood home to n get lost . Still do . Grateful to be in a much better mental space now. s/o to those days tho."

Then in the comments, a lot of SZA's followers thanked her for sharing something so personal and told the 35-year-old how much they love her. "sza i’m so proud of the journey you took to better yourself, you are beautiful inside and out and deserve the whole planet," read one comment. "the way she turned pain into art… grateful she’s in a better place now, we love growth," another person wrote.

But not all of the comments were positive. One person found it necessary to insult the TDE songbird. She later responded and admitted those kinds of words truly bother her.

"aka before she got big and bbl culture like,” wrote a mean X user. “Yall say weird s--t like this and wonder why I’m different and don’t feel comfortable w yall anymore. Lol," SZA shot back.
