Tyler, The Creator gets into a tense back-and-forth with Kanye West producer

If you're a Tyler, The Creator fan you've probably been sporting a huge smile since Wednesday. That's the day he released a new song snippet called "St. Chroma," dropped a video for it, and suggested that his next album would be called "Chromakopia."

Then yesterday, the former Odd Future member confirmed that "Chromakopia" is his next album, and it'll be released on Monday, October 28. His fans expressed pure joy at the announcement, but there's one person who wasn't all that enthused, producer Digital Nas, who's worked with people like Kanye West and Playboi Carti.

"Omg here we go again the same album made all over again with these gay a-s Tyler the Creator chords and weak a-s Pharrell drums," wrote Nas on Tyler's Instagram post. Then on Instagram Stories, Nas wrote, "Not buying it. It’s time for sum new. Let me f-----g in."

Tyler hit back with a tongue-in-cheek remark, which shouldn't be surprising to anyone who's familiar with his dry sense of humor. "I FEEL YOU THIS TYLER GUY IS A F----T BRO DONT BUY IT," he wrote. But the back-and-forth wasn't done there, because Nas sent Tyler a link to his song "LO’S V4." "When u can make something this level we can talk," Nas wrote.

But his attempt to troll Tyler didn't seem to diminish excitement for "Chromakopia," because people are still praising "St. Chroma." Plus, before Tyler's exchange with Nas, Swizz Beats said he absolutely loves the new album. “It’s already a classic!!!!” he wrote, per AllHipHop. "Goodnight!!!!!!!!!!!"

Tyler hasn't given any details about "Chromakopia" yet, but one fan believes he figured out its concept. "My theory: Tyler‘s character seems to be emulating 'Chroma the Great' a character in a book called, The Phantom Tollbooth, by Norton Juster," wrote someone who uses the X handle boymolish.

"Chroma's job is to conduct the orchestra that colors every day; without him and the instruments, the world would have no color at all. And if you know, Tyler is well known for his bright saturated colors throughout his career and worlds he has created."

As for Tyler and Digital Nas, it'll be interesting to see if their back-and-forth is over or if this is just the beginning.
