DJ Akademiks says it's a bad idea for Joe Budden to sue 50 Cent over AI photos

50 Cent and Joe Budden are currently engaged in a back-and-forth.

The beef started when Budden came down on 50 for making fun of Irv Gotti's death. The late music executive and 50 have been feuding since the early aughts, so it's safe to say that many weren't surprised at 50's reaction to Gotti's passing.

Still, Budden said the G-Unit rapper went too far while criticizing him on The Joe Budden Podcast. "Kanye West needs therapy. 50 Cent needs therapy," said Budden. "I’m not telling him how to feel … But publicly saying, 'D--n, I wanted him to see my new shows,' I think it’s wrong."

50 responded by posting several AI-generated photos of Budden while mentioning his lewdness case. In December news surfaced that the rapper-turned-podcast host was seen walking nude in front of his neighbor's door in New Jersey.

The AI photos led to Budden saying he'll sue 50. "50 been posting me for seven days in a row," he explained. "If I have a problem with it, we're getting lawyers involved, 'cause that's illegal ... You can't take all these AI pics ... But I don't have a problem with it, and I think that's corny, and that's 50. I got all the respect in the world for him, but if I get tired of it, and it stops paying, then yeah, it's lawyer time."

50 then told Budden that he wants to have a face-to-face with him to discuss his therapy comment.

DJ Akademiks weighed in on the beef during a livestream and basically called Budden a hypocrite. That's because Budden criticized Drake for taking legal action against UMG. The OVO rapper said the company shouldn't have promoted Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" since Kendrick calls him a pedophile in the song.

"There's actually some precedence about AI generated lawsuits," said Akademiks. "Joe, honestly would be in the realm of being able to sue 50 Cent ... I agree with him on a business level. I think this was bad optically to say. Now, it makes you sound exactly like what you've criticized. A n---a putting up an AI picture of you in a brief doesn't hold a candle to a man calling you a pedophile."
