Earlier this month, TMZ reported that private investigators spoke to the Jane Doe accuser who that said JAY-Z and Diddy sexually assaulted her in 2000 at an afterparty for the MTV Video Music Awards.

A portion of that conversation has now been released, and the woman can be heard saying that JAY didn't assault her, and that her lawyer Tony Buzbee pushed her to make the claim. The woman dropped her suit against JAY last month.

"But JAY-Z was, you’re saying he was definitely there? But he had no part in it?” asked one of the private investigators. "He was there," the woman responded. "He was just there, but he didn’t have anything to do with any sexual acts toward you, it was strictly—?" asked another investigator." "Yeah," she answered.

“He was the one that kind of pushed me towards going forward with him, with JAY-Z," Doe said after that, referring to Buzbee.

The Texas lawyer denied that he influenced the woman to sue JAY, and he recorded audio footage where she's heard saying that she never took back her story. Plus, JAY's lawyer, Alex Spiro, spoke to ABC about the woman recanting her claim and said hearing her in the recording should clear JAY's name completely.

"She told them her truth, which was under no circumstances did Mr. Carter do this,” Spiro explained. “And number two, the only reason he’s even involved in this is she was pushed to introduce him by a lawyer ... The truth had to fully come out. This person cannot be allowed to hide from the reality that this was a false accusation.”
