It seemed like the battle between Joey Bada$$ and Ray Vaughn was going to be over. Simply, because after exchanging a few bars on a couple of songs, the wave died down, and it appeared there wouldn’t be any more shots coming from either side. But Badmon Joey surprised many by dropping his song “Pardon Me,” as it's likely he's trying to have the last word.

On “Padon Me,” Joey seems to be taking shots at Vaughn, but it's more like he’s trying to step back since Vaughn doesn’t have anything to lose in this battle.

Joey concludes his second verse with, “Know I'm worth y'all time, but y'all just ain't worth mine / Nobody knows your name, kid, but I know what your aim is / I shoot you, I'm brainless, you shoot me, you famous.” Joey borrowed those lines from fellow Brooklyn rapper, the legendary JAY-Z.

The lines first showed up on JAY's 1997 song “Streets Is Watching.” While this might seem like a cop-out to many, Joey actually has a point. Until now, Vaughn is best known for responding to Joey when he dissed the West Coast on his song “The Ruler's Back,” and Vaughn seems to be trying to use him to advance his career.

On that song, Joey took shots at the West Coast by rapping, “Too much West Coast d--k lickin' / I'm hearin' n----s throwin' rocks, really ain't s--t stickin' / 'Cause if we talkin' bar-for-bar, really it's slim pickings / I rap like I draw pentagrams and kill chickens.”

Vaughn responded to the rapper on "Crashout Heritage" and called him out for sneak dissing.
