While Kendrick Lamar's GNX album continues to burn up the charts, fans were blessed with another song from the Compton spitter called "Money Without Me." The cut was released on K Dot's YouTube page on Tuesday, December 17, before Universal Music Group removed it. That's despite some people uploading the song last year.

It's been said "Money Without Me" was made several years ago during the studio sessions for Kendrick's 2011 Section.80 album. But regardless when the tune was crafted, it has the same ingredients that Kendrick has cooked up before: Strong storytelling, inventive flows, and thought-provoking lyrics.

Kendrick also takes listeners back to his days before fame when he was dreaming of rap stardom and becoming rich.

"Now I was raised on the wild side, ever since a child I / ‘Member food stamps when momma said it’s chow time / Poppa had the green Seville with the Alpine / Woofer in the back, ‘Doggystyle,’ track number nine / Lifestyles of a lil’ nappy head / Guns in the closet, bills in the bed / Watching Jay-Z on BET counting bread / Pointed at him then I said, ‘Man, you ain’t getting money without me,'" raps Kendrick.

Some believe the release of the song is an indication that a deluxe version of GNX is on the way, something that Left Gunplay, who's featured on the GNX cut "TV Off," said last month.

As it stands, Kendrick has several GNX songs on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. The incredibly catchy "Luther," featuring SZA, landed at number seven. "TV Off" and "Squabble Up," meanwhile, are number eight and nine respectively.

GNX will probably be considered one of the best albums this year as well. If not, it could be said that Kendrick had the best year of any rapper in 2024. Many feel he defeated Drake in their historic battle. He also put on an epic show in Inglewood, California that brought several L.A. gangs together. Not only that, Kendrick got tapped to play the halftime show at Super Bowl LIX by Jay-Z's company Roc Nation.
