Kendrick Lamar isn't a social media guy, and he hardly posts. But he changed that to pay Doechii an enormous compliment and bring more light to her mixtape, Alligator Bites Never Heal. "The hardest out," wrote Kendrick while sharing the mixtape's cover.

The Florida rapper also received praise from her TDE boss Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith last month, a little after Alligator Bites Never Heal was released. In fact, he said Doechii's album reminds him of Kendrick's 2011 LP. "I have the same feeling I had when KDOT dropped Section 80," wrote Tiffith. "She’s 1 of those ones 4sho !!!!"

Besides mentioning Doechii's album, Kendrick shared a clip of a Cash App commercial that she's in with comedian ExavierTV, which is produced by Kendrick's media company, pgLang. The spot shows Doechii and the comedian having a conversation about money and avoiding get-rich-quick schemes.

Clearly, the commercial and Doechii working with Kendrick is just another sign that her career is quickly expanding. But still, the 26-year-old said she isn't ready to get on a song with him yet.

"I’m sure that like for my debut project, eventually I’m gonna ask Top if he could ask Kendrick, or ask Kendrick myself and see what comes from that," she said last month on The Joe Budden Podcast. "But I’ma be real. I don’t think I have the record right now for that opportunity. I think I would have to come a certain way and I don’t think I’m ready for that."

What's unique about Doechii is that she appeals to both the people who like lyricism and those who prefer lighthearted, fun records. Last month, she talked about wanting to bring wit and lyrical skill back to Hip Hop in an interview with Apple Music, and it seems she's well on her way to doing that.
