Dipset members Cam'ron and Jim Jones are not on good terms at the moment. Proof of that, is both of them hurling insults at each other. Earlier this week, Cam brought up Jim having a confrontation with Brooklyn rapper Maino back in the day, who's now in a group with Jim called The Lobby Boyz.

"You make up with every n---a that put hands on you," said Cam'ron on his podcast, It Is What It Is. He was referring to Jim settling his beefs with former enemies like rapper Tru Life, Junior M.A.F.I.A's C-Gutta, and TV personality Mendeecees Harris.

"Ever wonder how he met Maino?" Cam asked. "Maino gonna downplay it ’cause they cool now. He tried to press Maino, ’cause Maino first came out with a little record where he said a n----’s name."

“So, Jim went to see Maino one day and was like, ‘Yo, wassup with all that saying my name?'" he went on. "Maino said, ‘Who the f--k you talking to? Oh, you think I’m one of them n----s? You out your motherf-----g mind.' Now they’re The Lobby Boyz.”

Maino has since weighed in on Cam's story and said he got it all wrong.

“The song he’s talking about is the song that put me in the game, 'Rumors,' where I was talking about all the rumors in the industry,” said Maino on Way Up with Angela Yee. “The thing about that is I mentioned [Cam’ron] in the song; I didn’t mention Jimmy."

He continued. “Jimmy didn’t like me [because of that], so when we saw each other we would have these face fights, but nothing ever happened ... We were in Atlanta, and we had a conversation. He didn’t approach me and press me or none of that. We had a conversation. It wasn’t spectacular, nobody swung. Once we started to talk and realized that we had things in common, we were cool from that point on."

Cam'ron hasn't responded to Maino yet.
