Aubrey O'Day talks about Diddy's arrest for the first time

Ever since Diddy was sued by several women for sexual assault and other alleged crimes, former Danity Kane member Aubrey O'Day has weighed in at times. So, it's probably not surprising that she had an immediate response to the Bad Boy mogul being arrested in New York yesterday for racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
"The purpose of justice is to provide an ending and allow us the space to create a new chapter," wrote O'Day Monday on Instagram stories. "Women never get this. I feel validated. Today is a win for women all over the world, not just for me. Things are finally changing."

O'Day has been voicing her issues with Diddy for some time now and appeared in TMZ's documentary The Downfall of Diddy. In it, she accused him of buying his artist's silence by giving them back their publishing rights, which he did in 2023. But he first made everyone sign a non-disclosure agreement, according to O'Day. However, one of Diddy's reps shot down her claim, saying not everyone who got their publishing back signed an NDA.
O'Day also spoke to TMZ after Diddy's arrest, saying she's still absorbing it and was skeptical that it would ever happen.
"I never thought I would see this day," she said. "We all buried this inside of us in order to be able to keep going. And not just me, but victims you don't even know yet. We are all processing what that type of vindication can actually feel like now. Every conversation I've had with victims last night has been beyond moving on all levels."
Last week, Dawn Richard, another ex-Danity Kane singer, sued Diddy for sexual assault and battery, claiming that he groped her and once locked her inside a car. But Diddy denied those claims and said Richard is merely looking for a payday.
