Conway the Machine & Ransom to release joint album 'Chaos Is My Ladder'
By Daryl Nelson
Lyric lovers get ready because Conway the Machine and Ransom will be dropping a joint project this Friday, September 6, called Chaos Is My Ladder. The 10-song LP is produced by V Don and fans are truly excited about it. Ransom made the album announcement yesterday on Instagram.
"Chaos Is My Ladder 🪜 🪜 with @whoisconway The MACHINE & @vdonsoundz the Dark WIZARD FRIDAY!!!! Pre-save link in BIO Artwork by @kightek Mixed & mastered by @davisstraussk3f," he wrote next to the artwork.
"Lets gooooo 2 of my top 5 emcees together," one person responded in the comments. "Long overdue though," a second person wrote. "I put my money on this album against any other that will come out this quarter!"
On Friday, August 30, the two gifted rappers dropped the Lloyd Banks-assisted "Higher Killer," a no-nonsense cut that finds all three men spitting their usual high quality verses.
"You can never pray for a Heaven when meant to be in a Hell / I ain't lettin' them haters in 'cause my energy has been swell / If you friendly with everybody, you're an enemy to yourself," raps Ransom. Conway spits next and delivers the same type of bars that made him famous.
"Went from going to get two hundred more grams / To a ocean front property with the bungalow / Sand in the backyard / Shatter his backboard when I dunk on your mans / I'ma dump the whole can in his stomach, oh, man / They sayin' I be disgruntled / I make rappers uncomfortable 'round a grumpy old man," raps the Griselda wordsmith.
The last album Conway released was Slant Face Killah in May of this year while Ransom dropped his Lavish Misery LP with producer Harry Fraud back in March. Hopefully, this is just the first installment of Chaos Is My Ladder, because Conway and Ransom make an incredibly strong pair.
