At one time in his life, Dame Dash was a major player in the music industry after he co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records with Jay-Z and Kareem "Biggs" Burke. These days, however, he has a new job: Constantly speaking negatively about Jay-Z.

On Monday, September 30, Dame spoke about Diddy's sex trafficking arrest and said he hopes that Jay won't be linked to any of his alleged crimes. But based on Dame's words, it seems like he actually wants Jay to be in trouble, because he shared a baseless rumor about him being arrested because of the Bad Boy mogul.

"To be honest, I really hope, like, the things that they’re saying are terrible. It’s hard for me to even think that any of those things could be true. I don’t want them to be true," said Dame on his America Nu Network YouTube channel . "You know, they’re saying they’re going to pick him up next. I don’t wanna see that man going to jail."

He continued. "As much as he’s been f-----g with my money, I wanna hope that that’s the worst that he’s been doing. I would never want to hear that Jay was in a freak off party .... It would be such another big blow for hip-hop."

But notice in Dame's supposed concern for Jay, he brought up money, which is the crux of his issue with the Brooklyn rapper.

In 2021, it was reported that Dame tried to auction off his share of Jay's debut album Reasonable Doubt. Jay later filed a lawsuit and the two settled but per Vibe, Dame isn't allowed to "dispose of any property interest in Reasonable Doubt" going forward.

Dame also has deep financial problems because he lost a lawsuit to filmmaker Josh Webber for $823,000 after they were supposed to work on a film together. Thus, Dame has been blaming Jay for his money issues, which makes his concern for him being arrested seem insincere.
