As the hip-hop world is still reeling from Rich Homie Quan's death, the Atlanta Police Department released their incident report this week, and new details have surfaced.

According to what Quan's brother Andre Munford told police, he woke up at 3:00 a.m. and saw Quan lying on the kitchen floor with food in his mouth. Assuming he was just sleeping, Munford then carried his brother to a sofa.

Plus, Quan's girlfriend Amber Williams told police that she got up at 6:45 a.m. to take her children to school and saw Quan still on the sofa. She later came back home, went back to bed, and still saw him lying there when she woke up about four hours later. Eventually, Quan was taken to Atlanta's Grady Hospital where he died on September 5, at 34 years old.

Per Fox 5 Atlanta, an autopsy was done one day after Quan's passing, and the Fulton County Medical Examiner said they're waiting for test results before announcing an official cause of death.

Quan's father Corey Lamar spoke about the tragedy on Monday when he called into the Streetz Morning Takeover Radio show and said the funeral will be open to the public. He didn't give a date, though, but the family issued a statement.

"On Thursday, September 5, 2024 the Lamar family lost our beloved son, brother, father and friend. Known to the world as Rich Homie Quan, Dequantes Devontay Lamar was a proud native of the great city of Atlanta, Georgia and represented for the A as he and his music traveled across this globe,” the statement reads.

“While he leaves us with an undeniable hole in our hearts, we are comforted by knowing his music and triumphant spirit lives on," the family continued. "Quan’s legacy will forever be cemented as a soundtrack to our lives. And for this, we are grateful. Celebration of life details will be shared soon. Thank you to everyone for your kind words and support at this difficult time."
