See the first reactions to Kendrick Lamar's new song, Lecrae & Dee-1 respond to being mentioned

Late last month, there was a rumor floating around that Kendrick Lamar was dropping a new album. Well, that hasn't happened yet, but he did release a new song yesterday, Wednesday, September 11.
He shared the cut on Instagram, and many are calling it "Watch the Party Die," although Kendrick didn't officially name the track. On it, he criticizes the state of hip-hop and the state of the world. It's the Cali native's first song since his battle with Drake concluded, but he didn't take any obvious shots at the OVO rapper or his crew.
But Kendrick is being accused of mentioning their battle toward the beginning of the song. "Just walked that man down, that will do everyone a solid / It’s love, but tough love sometimes gotta result in violence," he rapped.
Unsurprisingly, the cut got a huge response from famous and non-famous people alike. "I ran this back like 6 times in a row.. dot really the 1," wrote one Instagram user. "Grown folk music … thank you," wrote Hot 97 host Ebro Darden. "This man operates at a different level 🔥🔥🔥," a third person stated.
In another part of the song, the pgLang artist mentioned Texas gospel rapper Lecrae, as well as New Orleans spitter Dee-1.
"Sometimes I wonder what Lecrae would do / F**k these n****s up or show ’em just what prayer do? / I want to be empathetic, my heart like Dee-1 / But I would ....." rapped Kendrick before trailing off.
Both Lecrae and Dee-1 responded to the lines, with Lecrae tweeting, “Love you Dot….Always here." Meanwhile, Dee-1 posted an old photo of him and Kendrick and wrote, "i appreciate the shoutout brother. @kendricklamar ❤️More than you’ll ever know. A shift is happening. The time is now! 🙏🏽."
