Plies believes that Soulja Boy stole his "Me & My Goons" beat to make his song "Pretty Boy Swag," and he filed a lawsuit against him.
Soulja is known to clap back at those who accuse him of something and this time is no different. So, he let Plies have it on social media with a rather long winded message. Soulja also asked Plies why he waited so long to sue him. "Pretty Boy Swag" was released in 2010 and "Me & My Goons" dropped in 2008, by the way.
"'Pretty Boy Swag' is not your ," said Soulja on video. "So you wanna wait 10 years to try to sue a n---a for a beat? That is not your beat, crazy man. What the f--k is wrong with you, Plies? You need to change your name to 'Lies,' ’cause you a m-----f------ liar … You know that ain’t your m-----f------ ’ beat, bro."
Soulja continued by saying the "Pretty Boy Swag" beat isn’t a sample and it sounds nothing like "Me & My Goons." He then insulted Plies a little more, questioned his gangster status, and compared him to a police officer.
"That’s some police s--t," Soulja said of Plies and his lawsuit. "You trying to sue a n---a? I thought you was gangsta. I thought you was a goon." Plies also sued Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, and Cardi B for their song "Wanna Be," saying they also stole the "Me & My Goons" beat.
Plies hasn't responded to Soulja yet. If he does, Soulja will undoubtedly answer him quickly. You can see him react to the lawsuit below.
